South pitch
Please be aware of the following items and pass this message onto your teams / coaches / officials / supporters;
If there is a school game on before yours;
You must not access the pitch area (not even the side-lines) prior to both teams vacating the pitch and its surrounds – this is an insurance issue
You cannot access the pitch area for warm up or to drop-off kit or to get changed.
This area is essentially out of bounds until the school teams have vacated the pitch area completely
Changing Rooms
If these are being used by the school then no access is permitted until the school has vacated the premises.
Mud damage to pitches
The Astro pitches will be damaged by mud. Please can you ask your players to be mindful of this and avoid wearing muddied footwear onto the pitch. There are shoe brushes at the entrance gates.
If the ground-staff spot a team bringing mud onto the pitch they will cancel that game, as the repair costs for this damage are considerable.
The area near the East Fettes Avenue entrance has been improved, but it is still very muddy in places.
If you use the grass pitches to warm-up please bring spare footwear. Cleaning the footwear after the warm-up IS NOT an option.
Bad language – Please be aware that this is a school environment and foul or abusive language will not be tolerated at any cost.
Dogs are NOT permitted on any of the Edinburgh Academy grounds, there is a sign stating this at the entrance.
