Coach

The club are delighted to welcome Paul Taylor to the club as coach for the men’s 1st XI ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Paul has a wealth of knowledge of Hockey on and off the pitch, playing in National League 1 outdoor and indoor and in the Euro indoor competition and coaching several teams as head coach or assistant coach.

Coaching definitely runs in the family, as Paul’s dad, Robin Taylor, is the Ladies 1st XI coach.

Fraser Stuart, the current captain of the Men’s 1XI says “It’s a very exciting prospect, not only (hopefully) getting back to hockey, but also having Paul there as the coach. He’s got great experience and knowledge of the game and will have a tight knit team to work with. Hopefully when we add all that together we can continue to grow, develop and compete”

Paul Taylor, the new men’s coach says “I’m delighted to take on this role, it’s been a bit frustrating having to wait so long to get down to business but I’m looking forward to working closely with Fraser and building on the positive momentum the guys have built over the past few seasons.”
