Eskvale Hockey Club is a fast‑growing, friendly and inclusive hockey club based in Midlothian — welcoming players of all ages, abilities and experience levels. Whether you’re picking up a stick for the first time, returning to the game, or looking for competitive action, Eskvale gives you a place to play, progress and enjoy your hockey.

What We’re All About

We believe hockey should be fun, energetic and open to everyone. Our club delivers a full pathway from juniors through to senior hockey, alongside award‑winning inclusive programmes that make us one of Scotland’s most welcoming hockey clubs.

Senior Hockey

We run two Ladies’ teams and two Men’s teams, all competing in the East District leagues.

Our senior section is friendly, competitive, and built on commitment, teamwork, and enjoyment of the sport.

Youth Hockey

Our junior section continues to grow, with teams competing in the Edinburgh U12 & U14 Leagues, giving players regular opportunities to develop skills, confidence, and game experience.

Walking Hockey

Eskvale is proud to be the first club in Scotland to offer regular Walking Hockey sessions. It’s a fun, low‑impact way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy hockey at a gentler pace — perfect for beginners, returners, or anyone looking for a relaxed way to get involved.

Flyerz Hockey

Flyerz Hockey is one of the most important parts of our club community.

It provides fully inclusive hockey sessions for children and adults with disabilities, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy the sport in a safe, supportive, and adaptable environment.
