About Us

The mission statement of Eskvale Hockey Club is to

· provide the opportunity to lead a healthier, active lifestyle through hockey regardless age, gender, race or ability;

· increase the number participants in hockey across Midlothian.

· increase the skill level of all participants whilst building teamwork and friendship through shared experience

Eskvale is Midlothian's hockey club!

We are an inclusive, family friendly club and are always keen to welcome new members, regardless of your standard of hockey. We will have a team that is right for you.

This season we expanded to consist of two Ladies' teams, two Men's teams, three under 12 and one 14 mixed teams. The senior teams compete in the East District Leagues, usually on a Saturday afternoon. The youth teams play in the Edinburgh League on alternate Sunday mornings. We also have a mixed team which competes in the Edinburgh Summer Slam Tournament. Eskvale are also the first hockey club in Scotland to offer Walking Hockey on a regular basis..

Senior training takes place every Tuesday evening, 6:30 to 7:30 for Development teams, 7:30 to 9:00pm for 1st XI's, from 13th August to late April (date TBC), at Lasswade High School Centre, 9a Eskdale Drive, Bonnyrigg, EH19 2LA and we play our home games there. Under 12 & Under 14 training will run from August to April (dates TBC) but takes place on Sunday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am. All our coaches are PVG compliant.
